Hamilton Smith Ltd. and Energy Management Controls Services (EMCS) are currently seeking a Building Automation System / Controls technician for work across Eastern Ontario and the Peterborough area.

Duties will include:

• Installation of BAS systems in new construction and retrofits
• Troubleshooting and repair of existing systems, both locally and remotely
• Travel throughout Eastern Ontario and the Kawartha region
• Provide customer support and follow-ups on all service calls
• Working hours are primarily straight days but will vary and require night work and weekend work from time to time
• Must be available for emergency on-call schedule

Qualifications:

• Ideal candidates will possess an electrical, electronic or mechanical technology diploma
• Experience with BAS systems / HVAC Controls installation, design and programming
• Experience with Reliable Controls systems and software an asset
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications and other technical documents
• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
• Must hold a valid divers license
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
